Purpose : The purpose of the knowledge sharing workshop is to present about the APN funded project to the project members and expert community; project goals, objectives, and activities; discuss about the ongoing activities and implementation and management plans. This meeting will also provide an opportunity to discuss about the roles of various partners and stakeholders in the project implementation and how to promote UAV/drone-based precision agriculture techniques to local farmers.



Objectives: This project will promote the adoption of UAVs-based PA techniques: (1) To identify priority areas in conventional agricultural practices that need UAV techniques to enhance agriculture production by organizing knowledge-sharing workshops for multiple stakeholders in the proposed countries. (2) To develop training modules to monitor and manage agro-ecosystem using UAV techniques and tailor-made training modules for each specific site. (3) To conduct training programs for the identified priority areas using developed training modules. (4) To disseminate the lessons learned and findings from multiple stakeholders engagement meetings and training modules through developing open-access portals (website) and policy papers for peer-reviewed journals.

Venue: UiTM Campus, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia


Aim: The aim of the hands-on-training programme is to develop the capacity of various stakeholders to use UAV/drones as a tool for precision agriculture in the participating countries. The training programme aims to develop a better understanding of drone applications in agriculture by providing hands-on training and topical lectures.
